Burnham Tavern Museum - Listed on the National Historic Register, built in 1770 (Machias) 

Fort O'Brien Site - The Fort was built in 1775.  It overlooked the Machias river and saw the first naval battle of the Revolutionary War.  State Historic Site (Machiasport). 

Gates Museum -  Home of the Machiasport Historical Society 

Jasper Beach - 1 of 3 beaches in the world where the whirlpool effect creates smooth rocks (Machiasport) 

Maine Sea Salt - Marshfield 

Sunrise Canoe & Kayak - Rents canoes and kayaks by Dunkin Donuts in Machias 

Sunrise Trail – ATV, walk or bike this trail for over 80 miles! It is 300 feet from the Talbot House Inn! 

University of Maine at Machias - 

Enjoy hiking on the Outback trails, campus events that go on throughout the year and the use of the fitness center and pool. (The fitness center and pool and some campus events do require a small fee.)

The Bold Coast Trail, Cutler Coast Public Reserved Land -
